Lionel Corsini is a composer, musician (bass, drumms & keyboards), producer and DJ originally from Marseille, France, but living now in Paris. We could say Lio is a true veteran of the underground music scene in Europe; since he was a kid he was immersed into the vinyl record collection of his father, a former DJ. At the age of 17 he came up with the name “Dj Oil” and became the resident of the still alive “Trolleybus Box” in Marseille; during that same period, he hosted a program on a local radio show called “Radio Grenouille”.Dj Oil is a sound designer for events, festivals, galleries, even for movies and television. He never had stop producing and collaborating with artist and labels worldwide (Tranz Denied feat. Magic Malik from Ivory Coast; Bombop Idiophonics feat. The Monkey Nuts & Hope Mask in Zimbabwe; remixes for different labels as Ed Banger feat. Laurent Garnier in France; Talking Loud feat Traxx in Chicago).
In 2022 Lio is working on his next release, to become the first French producer that has sign with the Belgium label R&S; label who’s represent artist like Aphex Twin, Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex & Dj Krush. “Blind Voodoo” will be released in collaboration with Niktus (Bassist of the F.F.F. Band) and Abul Jabba in the piano, bringing up all the textures that he is known from, a delicate mixture from jazz to techno... Dj Oil, has played in more than 50 countries, and now the time has come to visit for the first time our beloved Mexico.Entry:
