Above Eleven

Perched on the 33rd and 34th floor of Fraser Suites in Sukhumvit 11 is Above Eleven, a pretty lady who sits calmly as men and women line up at her door each night. Expect live entertainment every night, from international Deep-house DJs to Hip Hop and Funk Mashups to Jazz bands, along with a 360-degree view of Bangkok as you munch on Peruvian Japanese cuisine (called Nikkei) and sip unique cocktails with names like Maracuja Sour and Akiko Fernandez in the park-inspired sky bar. Get lost in the maze at the entrance and be found again in the bathroom “observatories” overlooking the city. As with all upscale venues, only fully covered shoes are permitted for gentlemen and sleeveless t-shirts, backpacks and luggages are not allowed.

H2O at The Continent Hotel

This ocean-themed rooftop pool and skybar on the 37th floor of the Continent Hotel is one newcomer we most definitely invite you to visit. What’s interesting about this venue is that they have a swim up bar where you can order your favorite drink straight from the infinity pool and watch as the water spills out from the pool and into the world below. The Continent Hotel is steps away from BTS Asoke/MRT Sukhumvit, incredibly affordable and offers not only drinks and snacks but also club sandwiches and burgers, all served with fresh cut potato wedges.

Belga Rooftop Bar & Brasserie

On the 32nd floor of Sofitel Sukhumvit lies Bangkok’s first Belgian-themed brasserie and bar, one of the city’s most dynamic rooftop venues. Surround yourself with exclusive dark wood decor and larger-than-life tapestries. Step outside to the panoramic terrace that showcases stunning sunset views over Bangkok. Spot the copper beer tap positioned at the heart of the brasserie and stalk over for a sample of the special beer of the month poured directly from the tap. Enjoy traditional Belgian food like the Moules Frites (mussels and fries) and waffles or go directly to the drinks menu to be pleasantly surprised! There is a beautiful selection of draft beers, Belgian beers, wines, and spirits but we fell in love with their signature cocktails like the Helene (Demonio are Los Andes Pico with passion fruit juice, pink grapefruit and apple juice) and Amara (Cabeza Tequila, lime and rose lemonese).

1826 Mixology & Rooftop Bar

The Rembrandt Hotel’s rooftop bar is 800 meters from BTS Asoke and offers a creative mixology, a variety of high-end spirits and fusion (Mexican, Indian, and Italian) bites inspired by award-winning sister restaurants. This last one is probably the most casual venue on the list, but it is just as impressive nonetheless. Be wowed by the bartender’s highly Instagrammable creative concoctions, inspired by Indian gardens and Italian desserts. Drop by on a Wednesday for Gin & Jazz night to sip on a Jazzy Juniper (Lavender infused gin cocktail) while listening to smooth Jazz tunes by internationally renowned musicians. For budget female hedonists and single men, Ladies Night is every Thursday at 1826 Mixology & Rooftop Bar. Definitely try the “Flora”, a fresh pink drink that smells as heavenly as its name suggests.
